Description: The admission cards shown here are typical of the class passes that students obtained at this time to various lectures. The cards are made of heavy cardboard and are beautifully engraved. The back of one has the small notation shown in the image. This card is the midwifery card from Columbia. The inscription is by the lecturer of the class. The other two cards are from NY Hospital. Shown with the cards is a medical diploma, from NY Hospital. The diploma is from another student, but it too is done in the elaborate and beautiful style of the time.
