Description: 14.5“x 11.5” oval pewter bowl 2” deep with 1” lip engraved Hotel Dieu. This is a very famous French Hospital in Paris that is still in existence. The bowl may have been used for bleeding, washing or both. It is clearly designed for hospital use.
