Description: 7.5“x 6“x 9” pyramidal shaped box of leather with brass handle and taper to resemble shape of eyeglass with fur lining against which the eyes are placed to view inside with a zinc sulfide coated screen, which is removeable by unlatching hinges. This crude fluoroscopic device provided images that were not very good and had the additional disadvantage of exposing the user to a considerable amount of radiation since it was hand held. It would have been used with one of the x-ray machines shown on this site and others as well.
